The City of Victoria Falls successfully conducted an induction for the Junior Councillors on Wednesday and Thursday.
At the end of the induction, an executive and office bearers were elected, replicating the seciour council.
The new Junior Mayor is Keisha Rozendo, a 17-year-old student from Hudini School of Science and Technology who takes over from the outgoing Junior Mayor, Panashe Mutambirwa from Mkhosana Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School.
Her Worship, Keisha is an Advanced Level learner.
The Deputy Mayor is Sharmaine Dani.
The Junior Town Clerk is Costantina Ngwenya.
Takosha Makaure is the new Junior Chamber Secretary while Faith Thodhlana and Precious Bhebhe are Finance Director and Public Relations Officer respectively.
Committee chairpersons are as follows:
Courage Parangeta (Housing and Community Services), Jephias Mambume (Finance), Jesleen Gumbo (Technical Services), Maxwell Phiri (General Purpose), Fungisayi Maphosa ( Spatial Planning, Kesley Machirika (Youth and Entertainment) and Mercy Ncube, the Child Rights chair.
